Maureen Reid Alexander

Edna Maureen Nance Reid Alexander, 85, of Rogers Road, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.   A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Ray Nance Howell IV officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.   Mrs. Alexander was born June 18, 1931, in Davidson County, to John McCoy Nance and Martha Ida Elizabeth Walker Nance. She was quality control supervisor at Lucia prior to her retirement and a volunteer for Contact. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Fred Nance and Calvin Nance; and sisters, Ernestine Barnhardt, June Thorp, Valier Doby, and Doris Nance Ellis   Surviving are son, Tim Reid (Tammy) of Raleigh; daughter, Debra Peninger (Garry) of Lexington; grandchildren, Chad Peninger, Heather Varner (Brad), Matthew Reid, and Addison Reid; great-grandchild, Kinsleigh Varner.   Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O.
