Max Gordon Loflin, age 80 of Lexington passed away Wednesday October 28, 2015 at Hinkle Hospice House.
Private graveside service will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 at Beck’s Reformed Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
Max was born October 29, 1934 in Guilford County to Lewis Clell Loflin and Treva Mae Martin Loflin. Max was a graduate of High Point College and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at High Point College. He was a member of Beck’s Reformed Church and a member of The U S Naval Reserves. He was a retired General Appraiser with North Carolina Department of Transportation. Max enjoyed painting with watercolors, fishing, in his younger years enjoyed constructing model airplanes and was a UNC basketball fan. Above all he loved his family and his GOD. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Emma Davidson.
Surviving are his wife Linda Briggs Loflin of the home; sons, Mark Loflin (Sharon), Eric Loflin, Philip Loflin (Lavonda) all of Lexington and Brant Loflin of Thorsby, Alabama; grandchildren, Mitchell, Erin and Jake Loflin; sister, Carolyn Cunningham (Bill) of Reidsville, NC; brother-in-law, Koszo D. Briggs of Dillon, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Beck’s Reformed Church, 2845 Beck’s Church Road, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
