Maxine Payne Dillard

Maxine Payne Dillard, age 84 of Sebring, Florida formerly of Lexington passed away at her home December 3, 2020 after a long battle with Dementia with her husband by her side.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Decemeber 10, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Sebring, Florida. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating.

Maxine was born in Lexington, NC on October 18, 1936 to Clyde Payne and Lillian Proctor Payne. She graduated from Lexington Senior High School in 1955 and attended Montreat College. She worked for Mallory Battery until joining her husband Bob in establishing Dillard Heating and Air where they worked together until they sold the business to employee Jeff Causey. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Joe Dillard and wife Joyce.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, James Robert “Bob”Dillard of the home; long time co-worker and owner of business, Jeff Causey of Lexington; niece, Tracy Dillard Roberts (Steve) of Lexington and special friend, Linda Howard.
