Maxine Wagner Lohr

February 24, 1924 — March 25, 2017

Maxine Wagner Lohr, age 93 of Brookdale Assisted Living, formerly of Iroquois Trail, Lexington passed away Saturday night March 25, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 31, 2017 at First Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Elizabeth Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall from 12:30 until 2:00 PM, prior to the service and at other times at the home of a son, Buddy Lohr, 226 Iroquois Trail, Lexington. Maxine was born in Davidson County February 24, 1924 to Clarence Ray Wagner and Ethel McDaniel Wagner. She was a member of First Reformed UCC and the Friendship Club, a graduate of Lexington High School Class of 1942. She loved her Bridge Clubs and was an avid Bridge player. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Glenn Lohr, Sr.; grandson, Erik Arbutus Lohr; sister, Ethel Wagner Foster; brothers, Clarence, Bryce and Foyle Wagner. Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn Raye Lohr of Lexington; sons, Robert Glenn “Buddy” Lohr, Jr. and wife Rita of Lexington; James Albert Lohr and wife Cyndee of Chapel Hill, David Franklin Lohr and companion Pam of Boyton Beach, FL and Dr. Samuel Clark Lohr and wife Lynn of Portland, OR., grandchildren, Christopher Scott Hedrick, Virginia Maxine Sloop, John Robert Lohr, Jay Wagner Lohr, Sundev Ray Lohr, Zahra Rose Lohr, Daniel Alan Lohr, Anne Robbie Lohr and Stuart Charles Lohr; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Hoyle Wagner of North Myrtle Beach, SC In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Reformed United Church of Christ, 104 East Center Street, Lexington, NC 27292 or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
