M.C. "Sam" Coleman

M.C. Coleman “Sam” age 81 of Owens Road, Lexington passed away Sunday afternoon July 3, 2016 at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Lexington City Cemetery with Rev. Chris Sadler officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at Davison Funeral Home from 12:30 until 1:30 Wednesday prior to the service. Sam was born in Columbus County, June 17, 1935 to Melvin Coleman and Lula Williamson Coleman. He was a retired employee of Young Hinkle after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. Surviving are his daughters; Sharon Ann Mixon (Wesley), Donna Grubbs (Michael) both of Lexington; son, Benny Ray Coleman (Janet) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Nicole Hatley, Travis Mixon (Misty), Jessica Coleman and Kris Grubbs; great-grandson, Dalton Hatley, nieces, Darine Lowe, Debbie Coleman and Linda Hardee; nephew, Bobby Lane.
