Meghann Anne Murphy

   Margaret Anne “Meghann” Murphy, age 29 of Homewood Lane, Lexington passed away Saturday (May 15, 2010) at University Chapel Hill Hospital. A service to celebrate the life of Meghann will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday (May 18, 2010) at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Derek Boggs officiating. Interment will be held at a later date, Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center of the church. Meghann was born July 23, 1980 to Michael Elmore Murphy and Melanie Wilson Murphy. She was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School Class of 1998 and a Graduate of University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was a former employee of RHA in Concord as a Community Support Specialist. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer with Thomasville Police Department and Carolina Donor Services. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her mother Melanie Wilson Bumgardner, step-father Sherrill Bumgardner of the home; one brother, Bo Murphy of Lexington.
