Melba Sealey Tussey, 80, of Arnold Road, Lexington passed away Friday, August 3, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice House.
A Funeral Service will be 11 am Monday, August 6, 2012, at Beulah United Church of Christ, where she was a member, conducted by Rev. Mike Hooper. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at their respective homes.
Melba was born July 4, 1932, in Columbus County, to David Bright Sealey and Marie Benton Sealey. She was the retired co-owner of The Snack Shop. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David, Ralph and Robert Sealey; and sisters, Mary Sasser and Muriel Barnhill.
Surviving are Holland Tussey of the home; daughters, Bonnie Nicholson and husband Charles and Holly Farrell and husband Greg, all of Lexington; sons, Tim Tussey and wife Judy of Lexington and Robert Tussey of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Ashley Tussey Dennis and husband Mark, Brandi Tussey Mayes and husband Stephen, Bradley Farrell, Joe Farrell, Allie Nicholson and Holly Nicholson, all of Lexington; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Memphis and Bristal Dennis, all of Lexington; and step great grandchildren, Kailey and Raya Dennis both of Lexington.
