Melinda Ann Koontz Smith

June 22, 1960 — August 12, 2020

Melinda Ann Koontz Smith, age 60, of Clemmons, NC passed away Wednesday evening, August 12, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A celebration of life service is planned to honor her life and will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Paul’s Chapel Evangelical and Reformed Church, with Pastor Aaron Long officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be hosted at the church one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those attending the service and visitation are asked to practice social distancing and to wear a mask.

Melinda was born in Davidson County, on June 22, 1960 to Palmer Joel Koontz and Judith (Judy) Morris Koontz. She was a loving wife and mother and was a member of Paul’s Chapel.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her mother; and a sister, Kathy Koontz.

Surviving are her father; her husband, Larry Hansen Smith of the home; sons, Christopher Beau Smith of Davidson County; and Joshua Joel Smith (Aubrey) of Pinnacle; daughter, Melissa Erin Smith of Winston-Salem; her sister, Sandra Nato of Raleigh; and her beloved Boston Terrier, “Twix.”
