Melissa Vanhoy Livengood, 27, of Bob Allred Rd., Lexington died Monday,
September 27, 2010, at Hinkle Hospice House after 1 year and 6 months of fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 1, 2010, at Heath Church with Rev. Dan Downing officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Livengood was born November 21, 1982 in Hillsborough County, Florida to Jay Monroe Vanhoy and Kristi Jean Hines Vanhoy. She was a Sales Rep. for Vitacost and a member of Heath Church. She had an inspirational love for life and dedicated each day to others, especially her daughter and The Lord.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel Thomas Livengood of the home, a daughter, Serenity Jean Livengood of the home, a step-son, Christian Blake of Lexington, her parents of Lexington, three brothers, Jay Vanhoy, Jr. and wife, Jessica of Virginia Beach, VA, Chris Vanhoy, David Vanhoy and wife, Megan all of Lexington, a sister-in-law, Christa Johnston and husband, Shane of Lexington, her Mother and Father-in-law, Billy and Jayne Livengood of Lexington and six Nieces and Nephews.
