Melody Dawn Mahan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Melody Mahan, 46, loving daughter, devoted friend, and cherished colleague. Melody passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, in her hometown of Lexington, North Carolina.

Born on Thursday, May 24th, 1979, Melody brightened the lives of all who knew her with her kind heart and generous spirit. She was the beloved daughter of Norman and Jo Ann Mahan, who survive her. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Melody dedicated her professional life to serving as a Shipping Supervisor at Special Fab, where her leadership and unwavering work ethic left a lasting impact on all her colleagues. She was a woman of many talents and interests, who spent much of her spare time indulging in her love for fishing, enjoying the serenity of the beach, and sharing playful moments with her four-legged friend, Sassy. These passions were the hallmark of Melody's vibrant spirit, and they brought joy to her life and those around her.

Surviving is her wife Yasmeen Mahan of the home, her parents Norman and Jo Ann Mahan; her sister Cassandra Weaver (John); niece, Alexis Weaver; nephews, Ashton Velazco, Anthony Velazco, Devan Weaver; and several aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday June 10, 2025 at Davidson Funeral Home with Rev. David Langley officiating services, burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
