Melva Austin Bragg

Melva Austin Bragg, a beloved member of the Lexington, NC community, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in Concord NC, on Saturday January 7th, 1956, Melva lived a life filled with love, warmth and dedication to her family and community.

She is survived by her 3 loving sons, Melvin Wayne Bragg, Christopher Wes Bragg (Stacy), and John Christopher Parker: 5 grandchildren. Kainon Bragg, Athena Bragg, Gabriel Bragg, Shelby Bragg and Madden Caswell.  whose life's was deeply enriched by her unwavering support and inspiration. Melva was preceded in death her spouse, Harold Wayne Shipton, by her beloved parents, Melvin Curtis Austin Sr. and Hilda Mae Austin,  sister, Kathyrn Barney  who surely welcomed her with open arms.

Melva's life will be celebrated and remembered by all who cherished her energy, warmth, and kindness. Her memory will linger in the hearts of those who had the privilege to be touched by her creativity and joyful presence.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Davidson Funeral Home, who will thoughtfully oversee her final farewell. Details will be provided for those who wish to pay their respects and honor Melva's remarkable journey through life.
