Melvin “Booger” Baxter Michael, 86, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery Columbarium. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings will be required.
Mr. Michael was born in Davidson County on February 22, 1934 to John Richard Michael and Frankie Rummage Michael. He was the owner/operator of the former Davidson Upholstery and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Mr. Michael was a master pickler and was known for his “Booger Pickles”. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Michael; and a grandson, Matthew Michael.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Randy Michael (Lynne) of Lexington, Ricky Michael (Ava) of Little River, SC, and Mark Michael (Troi Ann) of Lexington; a brother, Bobby Michael (Maxine) of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Josephine Michael of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jennifer Michael Tucker, Nicole Michael, and Zach Michael and friend Autumn Stover; and a host of nieces and nephews.
