Melvin Sidney Dorsett

  Melvin Sidney Dorsett 76 passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Universal HealthCare, King, NC.  Son of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Hazel Sink Dorsett of Forsyth County.  Melvin retired from Roadway Trucking and Arista Information System.  He was a hard- working man, but in his off time loved crappie fishing on High Rock Lake.  He is preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Whitman and survived by his brothers, Ted Dorsett (Dottie) and Archie Dorsett (Beverly).  Melvin leaves behind a loving wife of 20 years, Tamara Dorsett.  Melvin was a loving father to Robin Tope (Ken), Tonya Mescher (Peter), Leslie Ring (Bruce), Greg Dorsett (Suzanne) and Layla Roberts (Bobby).  To Ashley, Austin and Rachel he was their PawPaw.   Per Melvin’s wishes no services will be held.  The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support during this difficult time.   Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net.
