Meta Myers

Meta “Mae” Rowe Myers, 103, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 6, 1922, in Davidson County to the late Ray Mervin Rowe and Mary Ellen Walton Rowe, Mae lived a long and full life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. She was a proud graduate of Linwood High School and Ashmore Business College. Mae retired from Thomasville Furniture after many dedicated years of service and was a devoted member of Open Door Baptist Church in Lexington, where her faith and kindness touched many lives.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Coley Richard Myers Sr., her son, Tommy Myers, and her siblings Clifton Rowe, R.B. Rowe, Jason Rowe, Kathleen Justice, and Naomi Medlin.

Mae is survived by her son Richard Myers (Frances) of Lexington, and her daughter-in-law Kay Myers, wife of the late Tommy Myers. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tim Myers (Lawana Albertson) of Lexington, Rick Myers of Chesapeake, VA, Michelle Staton (Kenny) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Regina Myers (Derek Gurley) of Denton, NC. Her cherished great-grandchildren — Chandler Myers, Camryn Myers, Quinn Easom (Austen), and Cole Staton (Westley Durgin)— brought her endless joy and pride throughout her long life.

Mae will be remembered for her unwavering strength, gentle spirit, and deep devotion to her family and faith. She was known for her warm hospitality and her Sunday gatherings, where her sweet tea, famous banana pudding, and homemade chicken and dumplings were always made with love and enjoyed by all who came through her kitchen.

Her legacy of love, grace, and steadfast faith will continue to live on through those she so dearly loved.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, November 14, 2025, in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Visitation with family and friends will be held from 10am until 11am prior to the service.
