Michael Lee Blackwelder

Michael Lee Blackwelder, 55, of Chestnut St, died Saturday, June 8 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem after a brief illness. A private memorial service will be held, however, the family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Julie, at 111 Chestnut Street, Lexington. Mr. Blackwelder was born February 10, 1964 in Davidson County to Joe Reid Blackwelder and Sandra Cox Blackwelder. He was a 1982 graduate of Lexington High School and attended Sandhills Community College. He was the owner and operator of Cox Imports for many years, and later worked as a realtor. His father preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother of Lexington; his sister, Julie Huneycutt and husband, David, of Lexington; and his nieces, Lauren and Rachel Huneycutt.
