Michael Vance Hyder, 35, of Cranford Road, Denton, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at his home.
The funeral will be at 8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by Bishop William Jones, Pastor Bruce Langley and Bishop Ron Brisson. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Hyder was born in Guilford County on Nov. 11, 1971, to Raymond Vance Hyder and Joyce Ann Dobbins Hyder. He was employed by E.E. Wilson Floor Covering and attended The Church of God of Prophecy in Salisbury. He served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Surviving are his wife, Stephanie Annette Langley Hyder; his father of High Point; his grandmother, Rachel Dobbins of Archdale; a stepbrother, Ray Hyder and his wife, Robin, of High Point; a sister, Brenda Eldridge and her husband, John, of High Point; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, the Rev. Bruce and Gail Langley of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of the Rev. Bruce and Gail Langley, 2100 Peacock Drive.
