Michael James Kendrick

Michael James Kendrick, age 51, of Southbound Street, Lexington died Saturday night (November 26, 2011) from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (December 30, 2011) in the Davidson Funeral Home-Lexington Chapel with Rev. Arlan Faircloth officiating.    The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service and at other times at the home, 605 Southbound Street, Lexington.   Michael was born in Guilford County, March 30, 1960 to James Carfay Kendrick and Virginia Ashby Kendrick.  He was an employee of Signature Properties, Inc. and of the Baptist Faith. Mike loved riding his motorcycle, he traveled to many places on his bike visiting Sturgis, SD, Daytona FL and many other places. He was a NASCAR fan and will be greatly missed.   He was preceded in death by his mother, step-mother, Bonnie, and grandparents.   Surviving are; his wife Dee Swing of the home; daughter, Kristy Greer; son, Brandon Swing; sisters, Reena Apple and husband Marty of Gibsonville and Tonya of Florida; grandchildren, Kortney, Brianna, Alex, Rayann and Kameron.   In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Kyle Petty Charity Ride, Inc., 125 Floyd Smith Drive, Ste. 45, Charlotte, NC  28262.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
