Michael Shane Pennington

Michael Shane Pennington, age 42 or East Holly Grove Road, Lexington passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at his home after a period of declining health. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. James Messer officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday night and at other times at the home of his mother. Michael was born May 14, 1974 to Ricky Austin Pennington and Carolyn Brinkley Pennington. He was an employee of Thompson Arthur/Asphalt Division and a graduate of Central Davidson High School. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Thomas Ray (T. R.) Myers. Surviving are his mother, Carolyn Brinkley Myers Richardson (Dale) of Lexington; father, Ricky Austin Pennington (Stella) of Lexington; son, Jacob Hunter Pennington of Lexington; wife, Sherry Luann Evans Pennington of Lexington; sister, Brandy Justus (Ronnie) of Southport, NC; brother, Christopher James (Aimee) of Murrells Inlet, SC; paternal grandfather, A.C.
