Michael Smith

Michael William Smith, 21, of Davidson County, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

A memorial service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held at a later date.

Born on July 23, 2003, to Tommy Lee Smith (Joann) and Jennifer Parker Saunders (Bryan), Michael grew up with a deep love for the outdoors. He was a natural when it came to wildlife and hunting, known for being a great shot and having a true passion for the wilderness. Michael was a graduate of Central Davidson High School and a member of Floyd Baptist Church. His family and friends remember him as a kind-hearted young man who cherished every moment spent in nature.

He is survived by his parents and their spouses; his sister, Savannah Smith; and his beloved niece, Layla, whom he adored. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Barbara and Roger Parker, Darlene Beeson, and Jessie Smith; his uncle Jason Parker (Stephanie); his cousins, Emily Trant (Ricky) and their daughter Lydia, Jamie Hoke (Alex) and their daughter Haven, and Kelly Marie Parker; as well as a host of friends who will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Victory Junction Gang at 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317.

Though his time with us was far too short, Michael’s love for the outdoors and the memories he created with those who knew him will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His adventurous spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
