Michael "Big Mike" Tysinger, 51, of Winston-Salem, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after many years of illness.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church, where he was a member, by Pastor Charles Tanner and the Rev. Alan Paschal. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Tysinger was born Jan. 4, 1955, in Forsyth County to Walter Vance Tysinger and Doris Tutterow Tysinger. He was owner and operator of Tysinger Grading. In his spare time he was an active supporter of the South Little League Boosters Club.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Bauguess Tysinger of the home; two sons, Michael Wayne Tysinger and Garth Vance Tysinger, both of the home; two sisters, Debra Rafferty and Carol Tilley and her husband, Dwayne, all of Winston-Salem; one sister-in-law, Sherry Presley and her husband, Eddie, of Winston-Salem; one brother-in-law, Dennis Bauguess and his wife, Allison, of Winston-Salem; parent-in-laws Lloyd and Alice Shoun; four nieces, Sarah Presley, Carrie Rafferty and Meagan and Morgan Bauguess; three nephews, Ted Presley, Parker Tilley and Jordan Rafferty; and special friends Brittany Scott, Carrie Foster and Tori Ayers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.
