Micheal Dwayne Hyde

Micheal Dwayne Hyde, 42, a resident of Durham, NC, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023. He was born on July 16, 1980 to Ben Hyde and Rebecca “Becky” Kindley Noah. He worked for his aunt and uncle in their upholstery business. Micheal was a talented musician and prolific writer of poetry. Micheal was invited to numerous churches, youth groups, and other organizations to speak about his childhood struggles and battles he fought as a young adult. He hoped  his message of love, tolerance, and giving of yourself to help others, would inspire others to become better people. Micheal’s message was about hope and never giving up in life, no matter how hard or desperate your struggles may become. Always have hope. His contagious laugh and heart melting smile will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Micheal had one son, Caleb Ashton Bailey, two grandsons, Adryien Issac Bailey (8) and Gabriel Adon Bailey (1); a granddaughter Cataleya Marie Bailey (5); many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Micheal was preceded in death by his mother.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm Saturday, January 21 at Community Missionary Baptist Church, by the Rev. Brian Workman.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
