Midred Lucille Tysinger Leonard

Mildred Lucille Tysinger Leonard, 79, of Rockcrusher Rd., Lexington passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in Lexington Health Care.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2017  in Cotton Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Dana McKim officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the church and other times at the home.  Mrs. Leonard was born October 31, 1937 in Davidson County to Mozel Tysinger and Etta Bell Hedrick Tysinger.  She was a retired employee of PPG and a member of Cotton Grove United Methodist Church. A daughter, Libby Strass, two brothers, Henry Tysinger, Pete Tysinger, and two sisters, Marie Mortez and Juanita Snider preceded her in death.  Surviving are a son, Terry “Tree” Leonard (Kathy) of Lexington; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; three brothers, Darrell Tysinger (Imagene) of Denton, Carroll Tysinger (Karen), Ronnie Tysinger (Laverne) both of Lexington; one sisters, Judy Motes (Bobby) of Lexington.  Memorials may be directed to Cotton Grove United Methodist Church General Fund, 175 Jersey Church Rd., Lexington, NC 27292
