Mildred Catherine Longo Baldus

Mildred Catherine Longo Baldus, 73, of Sunset Ridge Lane, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2010, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Mrs. Baldus was born June 13, 1937, in Camden, N.J., to Tom Longo and Catherine Higgins Longo. She was very active at her church and a volunteer with the Senior Center. Mrs. Baldus worked as a waitress at Colonial Diner in New Jersey for 34 years prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Ivey. Surviving are her husband, Joseph A. Baldus Sr. of the home; son, Joseph A. Baldus Jr. of Virginia; granddaughter, Caitlyn Baldus; brother, Kenny Longo of New Jersey; and sisters, Pat Farrell of New Jersey, Sharron North of West Virginia., Laura Ewing of Pennsylvania, and Kathy Ewing of South Carolina.
