Mildred Ann Swink Campbell

Mildred Ann Swink Campbell, 70 of Clarksville, VA, formerly of Lexington died Monday August 31, 2009 in Duke Medical Center after an extended illness of one year. A funeral service will be Thursday September 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Danny Leonard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mrs. Campbell was born in Davidson County on February 15, 1939 to David Arthur Swink and Janie Alice Sharpe Swink. She was retired from Furniture Maker Supply and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her husband Theron (Dale) Campbell of the home, her mother of Lexington, sons Gregory D. Campbell and wife Staley of Lexington, Mike Campbell and Scott Campbell of Clarksville, VA, daughters, LaDonna Prevette of Lexington, Barbara Elliott of South Boston, VA and Brenda Wood of Clayton, NC, eight grandchildren, Stephen Campbell, Madyson Prevette, Olivia Prevette, Haylee Prevette, Tommy Elliott, Nathan Buttgen, Jonathan Buttgen and Alison Campbell, brothers Paul Swink of Greensboro, Tom Swink and wife Wanda and Charles Swink and wife Phyllis all of Lexington and sisters Nancy Goss and husband Joe of Linwood, Doris Jacobs of Lexington and Evelyn Smith and husband James of Gallant, AL The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home at other times at the home of her mother, Jane Swink, 116 Cloverdale Rd., Lexington, NC 27292
