Mildred Whitener Carver

Mildred Whitener Carver, 75, of Lexington, passed away December 27, 2023, at Atrium Heath Wake Forest Baptist in Lexington.

The family will see friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, December 28, 2023, and Friday, December 29, 2023, at the home on Wafford Road, Lexington.

Mildred was born April 26, 1948, in Cherokee County, to Jewel Whitener and Birdean Higdon Whitener. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Lexington Furniture. Mildred loved her cats, listening to country music, and watching Pastor’s on T.V.  Her passion was her faith, family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Melvin Carver Jr., who died November 15, 2010.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Christine Everhart (Michael)  Patricia Grimes (Lee), son, Steven Carver all of Lexington, grandchildren, Cody Everhart, Robert Everhart (Stacie), Brad Carver, Ashley Helton (Peter), Anthony Strickland (Kendra), great grandchildren, Gracie Everhart, Dakota Strickland, and Jacob Helton. Also surviving brother, Wayne Whitener(Annette) of Thomasville.
