Mildred Humphrey Cassidy

Mildred Lee Humphrey Cassidy, 90, of Mayfair Road, died Monday, November 17, 2008, at Lexington Memorial Hospital following several years of declining health. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frankie Matthews. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Cassidy was born March 15, 1918, in Davidson County, to William Foster Humphrey and Mildred Glendora Clark Humphrey. She was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Cassidy was a retired hairdresser. Surviving are her husband, Abe Cassidy of the home; a son, Abe R. Cassidy and wife, Lynne, of Lexington; daughters, Carolyn Bruff and husband, Hoyle, and Linda Wilson, all of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Albert Humphrey of Florida. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
