Mildred Louise Everhart Edwards

Mildred Louise Everhart Edwards 84 of Olympia Street, Lexington died Wednesday August 26, 2009 at her home. A funeral service will be 3:30 pm Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Doug McGee and burial, to follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Edwards was born November 26, 1926 in Davidson County to Lotus Hoyle Everhart and Lula Mae Everhart Everhart. She was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church and was a retired Nurses aide at Beuna Vista Nursing Home. She was preceded on death by her parents, her husband Walter Vastine Edwards; three Brothers, Bill, Thomas and Frank Everhart; and two Sisters, Mary Kearns and Elizabeth Hepler. Surviving are one son, Walter Steven Edwards and wife, Wanda, of Lexington; two daughters, Linda Kay Purvis and husband, Richard, and Debbie Mae DeLisle and husband, Jim, all of Lexington. A number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and two sisters, Clara Mae Bailey and Trevan Bowden both of Lexington. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Friday and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
