Mildred Walser Leonard

Mildred Walser Leonard, 86 formerly of West Center Street Ext., died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Lexington Health Care Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Dr. Charles Yarborough Jr.. Burial to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service Mrs. Leonard was born January 24, 1924 in Davidson County, to Zeb Walser and Emma Everhart Walser. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, and the Ladies Guild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elden Wayne Leonard, a daughter Emma Sue Myers, a brother James Walser, a sister Dorothy Dunn and a great-grandson, Daniel Tysinger. Surviving are two sons; Johnny Leonard and wife Judy and Jimmy Leonard, both from Lexington, two daughters; Sylvia Hall and husband Lee, of Lexington, Betty Michael and husband Steve of Virginia, two sisters; Betty Robbins, and Frankie Ballew both of Lexington, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.
