Mildred Maxine Gray Michael

Mrs. Mildred Maxine Gray Michael, 90, of Happy Hollow Court, died Friday, May 29, 2026, at her home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Reeds Baptist Church, with Pastor Henry Watterson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born on February 15, 1936, one of 13 children, in Davidson County, to the late Wilbur Cleveland and Julia Merit Moore Gray.

Mrs. Michael was a longtime member of Reeds Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and did so for decades. She served as a teacher assistant with Davidson County Schools for many years and poured her heart into serving special needs children. She enjoyed canning and listening to old country music. Mrs. Michael will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gray Michael, Sr.; 10 siblings; and numerous other relatives.

Survivors include her children, Ken Michael (Sherri), Bobby Michael, Jr., Jerry Michael (Peggy), Terry Michael, and Sandee Michael; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanine Link Naught; and numerous nieces and nephews.
