Mildred Seymour Owens

Mildred Seymour Owens age 91 of Hwy47, Lexington passed away Thursday November 30, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice.   A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday December 3, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Bruce Morasco and burial to follow at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service and at other times at her sons home.   Mrs. Owens was born May 12, 1926 in Sussex County England to George Seymour and Mary Jane Tullett Seymour. She was retired from Mid -State Tile and was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church where she previously had served in many capacities. Her parents, husband of 52 years, Lee Albert Owens and sons, Robert Owens and Michael Owens all preceded her in death.   Surviving are a son Richard Owens (Lek) of Lexington. A daughter, Brenda Sue Page (Kirby) of Burlington. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Dr. Miriam Leigh Funk (Chris), Jonathan Owens (Jordan), Alan Owens (Roxanne) and Matthew Norton.   Memorials may be made to Mt Carmel United Methodist Church 1400 Mt.
