Mildred Ribelin Rabon, 84, of Linwood, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice House following a period of declining health.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Brett Rabon officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Mildred was born on May 2, 1942, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late Robert “Bob” Lee Ribelin and Ellie Louise Styers Ribelin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband D.R. Rabon, son, David Richard Rabon; her brothers, Donald Ribelin and Bobby Ribelin; her sisters, Louise Bryant and Joyce Stout; and her brother-in-law, Johnny Gordon.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Rabon (Margaret); her daughter, Renay Holbrook (Randy); her sister, Marian Gordon; her grandchildren, Tiffany Cottingham (Jason), Randy Holbrook Jr. (Rachel), Sarah Foster (Quin), Brett Rabon (Samara), and Nathan Rabon; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special niece, Donna Young, and a special friend, Vickie Walser.
Mildred will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County and Life Center of Lexington, North Carolina.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the caregivers and staff who provided compassionate care and support during Mildred's illness.
