Mildred Rhodes

Mildred Gertrude Dry Rhodes, 87, of Rhodes Road, died Monday, January 28, 2008, at Hospice Home at High Point. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel by the Rev. Gerald M. Saunders. Burial will follow at Beck’s Reformed Church Cemetery. Mrs. Rhodes was born March 19, 1920, in Iredell County, to Fred Nixon Dry and Odie Jane Fulbright Dry. She was a member of Beck’s Reformed Church. She was married to Elmo Luther Rhodes who preceded her in death September 25, 2006. Also preceding her in death were brothers, Melvin Nixon Dry, Fred Junior Dry and David Atwell Dry. Surviving are nieces, Janie Miller of Lexington and Louise Roberts of Reidsville; and nephews, Nick Dry of Denton, Jerry Dry of Cary, Dewey Dry of Durham, and David Dry of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O.
