Mildred Irene Swicegood Tysinger 92, of Parks Road Lexington died Monday morning at Lexington Health Care.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Bethany United Methodist Church where she was a member. Rev. Allan Van Meter and Sue Epley, Parrish Nurse, will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Tysinger was born October 5th, 1915 in Davidson County to Herman Vestal Swicegood and Ada Mae Fritts Swiucegood. She was a pianist and an organist for various groups and quartets; and had worked as a bookkeeper for Tysinger Trucking. She retired from Edgewood Apparel. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Matthew Tysinger who died January 12, 1991, an infant daughter, and a sister Elise Lanier.
Mrs. Tysinger is survived by two sons; Joel Herman Tysinger and wife Sharon, and Paul Stephen Tysinger and wife Linda all of Lexington; a daughter Jo Ree Tysinger Clark of Morganton, six grandchildren Paul Conley Clark, Jolee Harney, Michelle Laws, Sandy Lowe, Joanna Tysinger, Stephen Tysinger; eight great-grandchildren Adree Williams, Todd Clark, Justin Laws, Jordan Laws, Haley Lowe, Jessica Laws, Trent Lowe, and Clark Harney, and two nephews Mark Lanier and George Lanier.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and at other times at the home.
