Millie Siceloff

January 29, 1915 — December 13, 2006

Mildred Frances Ripple Siceloff, 91, of Sunrise Avenue and formerly of Canterbury Place, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Carl Lindquist and Parish Nurse Amy Clodfelter. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Siceloff was born Jan. 29, 1915, in Winston-Salem to Arthur Marvin Ripple and Beatrice Earle Thompson Ripple. She came to Welcome at an early age, where she resided until her marriage in 1941 to Everett A. Siceloff of Lexington. She served on the administrative board of her church, was a member of the Altar Guild, and a life member of United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Lexington Civinette Club (a Civitan Wives service organization), which she was instrumental in organizing in 1954, serving as its first president. She was one of three women first elected to serve on the Lexington YMCA Board of Directors. She was a graduate of Brenau College, now Brenau University, in Gainesville, Ga., where she served two terms as an alumnus trustee on the Brenau College Board of Trustees. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973 as well as an infant son, Everett A. Siceloff Jr., and a sister, Betty R. Smith. Surviving are one son, David Siceloff and his wife, Libby, of Belmont; one daughter, Geryl Myers and her husband, John, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Kristen Schiebel and her husband, Ken, of Redmond, Wash., Nathan Siceloff and his wife, Keri, of Fort Hood, Texas, and Kathryn Everhart and her husband, Jimmy, and Jennifer Everhart and her husband, Jimi, all of Lexington; and five great-grandchildren, Morgan and Teagan Schiebel, Alley and Andy Siceloff and Anna Lynn Everhart. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church, 310 S. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292; Everett A. Siceloff Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund, c/o Davidson County Community College, P.O.
