Misty Carrick

Misty Leigh Carrick, 52, a resident of Lexington, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 at her residence. Misty was born in Davidson County on December 23, 1969 to Larry Joe and Melba Flowers Carrick. She worked for On Time Catering for many years. Misty was an active person who enjoyed traveling, taking walks outdoors, shopping trips, working in her yard and trying her hand at new recipes and crafts. She had a selfless personality and spent many hours collecting items and packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, making gift baskets for those she loved and was also an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness. Misty was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Lexington.

The family will greet friends Thursday, March 24 ^th from 6pm until 8pm at Davidson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Mountain View Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations of items to be used in the Christmas shoeboxes. There will be a basket for any donations at the visitation, as well as at the service. Memorials may also be made to Cancer Services of Davidson County, 25 W 6th Ave, Lexington, NC 27292.

Misty is survived by her parents; her daughter, Burgundy Bledsoe (Barrett) of Denton; a brother, Tim Carrick (Amy) of Lexington; a niece, Kelli Brafford; her long-time partner and significant other, Eddie Carrick; and her fur-baby, Bentley.
