Modena Craver Link Coppley, 93, formerly of Old Linwood Road, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 6 at Jersey Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Collier officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church Cemetery in Welcome. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Coppley was born September 28, 1916, in Davidson County, to Allen L. Craver and Ida Elizabeth Sowers Craver. She retired from Beck’s Flower Shop. Her first husband, John D. Link preceded her in death in 1963; as well as her second husband, John G. Coppley, who died in 1998; her brothers, Stokes Craver, Ray Craver and Herman Craver; and her sister, Maxine Benfield.
Surviving are her daughters, Judy Stoner and husband, Frank, Kate Gwaltney and husband, Wayne, and Becky Myers and husband, Malcolm, all of Lexington; her sons, Tommy Jolly and wife, Diane, and Otis Hill and wife, Virginia, all of Lexington; her grandchildren, Julie Griggs and husband, Glenn Jr., Tim Gwaltney and wife, Lisa, Mike Myers and wife, Melissa, Wendy Lewis and husband, Brian, Thomas Jolly and wife, Christy, and Michelle Jolly; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Craver of Midway; and a sister, Blanche Smith of Lexington.
