Mollie Maude Brooks, 89, of Lexington Health Care, formerly of Yadkin College Road, died Thursday, February 2, 7, 2008, at the nursing home.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Gary Foster.
Mrs. Brooks was born July 4, 1918, in Monroe, Ga., to Thomas Mallory Gregg and Fannie Frances Hogan Gregg. She was married to James O. Brooks, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were four brothers and sisters.
Surviving are a son, Jimmy “Pete” Brooks and wife, Gloria, of Lexington; daughter, Linda Davis and husband, Paul, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Dane Brooks and wife, Donna, Mandi Wilson and friend, Shane Dublin, Chris Davis and wife, Pam, and Lisa Strickland and husband, Eddie; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Cameron Strickland.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home on Yadkin College Road
