Mollie Jane Nelson Essick

Molly Jane Nelson Essick of Rowe Road, died Thursday, September 17, 2009, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Reedy Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ebert Craven officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Essick was born November 7, 1946, to Thomas Spencer Nelson and Jessie Wilson Nelson. She was a Medical Unit Secretary at Forsyth Medical Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin McKinley Essick; and sister, Peggy Duke. Surviving are sons, Brian Essick of Lexington and Anthony Wayne Essick of Martinsville, Va.; grandchild, Leslie Allison Essick of Lexington; and sisters, Dottie Nelson Ryan and husband, William, of Fort Walton Beach, FL., and Vicky de Haan and husband, Fred, of Memphis, TN. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is serving the family.
