Monna Crotts, a cherished resident of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, just two days shy of her 87th birthday. Born on Thursday, May 19th, 1938, in North Carolina, Monna lived a life filled with love, family, and faith. A dedicated homemaker, Monna was known for her nurturing spirit, warmth, and the deep love she held for her family. She was a lifelong member of the community, having touched the lives of many with her kind and gentle nature. Monna is survived by her adoring family, who were the center of her world: her sons, Gary Crotts and his wife Pam, Wayne Crotts; her daughter, Donette Thore and her husband Charlie; and her daughter-in-law, Becky Crotts. She leaves behind a legacy of love with her grandchildren, Jennifer, Brandy, Mindy, Tera, Heather, Lindsay, and Haley; her great-grandchildren, Trevor, Devon, Dylan, Jack, Brynna, Miranda, Tiffany, Sarah, Gavin, Mckayla, great-great- grandchildren,Carson, and Everly and Liam. Monna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Crotts; her dear son, Terry Crotts; her father, Walter Everhart; her mother, Lottie Everhart; her brother, Johnny Everhart; and her sisters, Jean, Dean, Donna Mae, Dorcus, and Christine. Their memories are cherished in the hearts of those who survive her. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Monna's life at a service led by Rev. Tim Higgs at Grace Alliance Church on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour before the service at the church, providing an opportunity for those whose lives Monna touched to share memories and offer condolences. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meals on Wheels, 104 E. Center St., Lexington, NC 27292, an organization close to Monna's heart.
