Mrs. Mozelle Weaver Bean, 88, of Fairview Drive, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 1 at Alston Brook Rehabilitation Center after six weeks of declining health.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3 at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Bean was born September 6, 1922 in Lexington, North Carolina to Lewis Walter and Lilly Sowers Weaver. She retired from Duracell Battery in Lexington after 21 years of service. She was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Bean faithfully served delivering tapes to the shut-ins of the church until her health declined. She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved working in her flowers and cooking.
Mrs. Bean was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, J. D. Weaver, Lewis W. Weaver, Jr. and Paul Walter Weaver, and three sisters, Margaret Beck, Elsie Everhart, and Myrtle Weaver.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Charlie E. Bean, whom she married November 20, 1943; daughter, Sandra and husband Thomas Mabe of Lexington; grandchildren, Meredith Regan and husband Corey, Jeffrey Powell Mabe and wife Erin all of Thomasville; great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Regan, Olivia Hope Regan and Lawson Powell Mabe; sister Lucille Williams of Lexington and a sister-in-law Gladys Earomirski of Archdale.
