Mr. John David Faust, Sr., "Johnny", 76, went to be with his Lord on Monday, June 27, 2016 after suffering a heart attack at his home. Johnny was born December 5, 1939 in Iredell County, NC to the late Glenn and Faye Faust. He had been owner/operator of Midway Barber Shop since 1970, served on the Davidson Water Board of Directors, was a longtime member of both the United Field Trialers Association (UFTA) and the Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation (QUWF), was an active member of the Davidson North Camp of Gideon’s International and had been a member of Faith Church for 47 years, contributing tirelessly in various capacities and presently serving as a Deacon. Johnny was faithful to his community, faithful to his Lord, and above all else, faithful to the family he loved dearly. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, his beloved "Libby", Elizabeth Shaw Faust, of the home; two sons, David (Dee) of Lexington and Vann (Tori) of Snellville, GA; a daughter, Mary Beth Evans (Clint) of Virginia Beach, VA; 9 grandchildren, Erica Martin (Blake), Megan Williams (Thad), Karlee Lanning, Andrew, Molly, Hannah and Emma Faust, Macy and Emmy Evans; 4 great-grandchildren, Piper, Savannah and Brooks Martin and Finley Williams; four sisters, Glenda Wilson (J.C.) of Winston-Salem, Martha Faust of Cleveland, NC, Becky Triplett (Carlos) of Hinton, West Virginia and Evelyn Wokatsch (Willie) of Statesville; one brother, Bruce Faust of Cleveland, NC, several nieces and nephews and a faithful co-worker of 37 years, Kent Phillips. In addition to his parents, Mr. Faust was preceded in death by a brother, Allen. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Faith Church. A Celebration of the life of John David Faust, Sr. will be held Friday at 4:00 PM at Faith Church. Pastor Michael Gates will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
