Mrs. Howard Michael Hinson

Mrs. Howard Mae Michael Hinson, age 93 of Brookdale of Lexington formerly of Park Street Lexington passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Brookdale.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2020 at First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Ray Howell, 3 ^rd officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service and at other times at the home of her daughter on Sawgrass Lane in Lexington.

Mrs. Hinson was born in Davidson County June 12, 1926 to J. Howard Michael and Ethel Hill Michael. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Kindergarten at First United Methodist church for several years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved gardening and working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Douglas “Doug” Hinson, Sr.; sisters, Euphie Cherry and Patty Fisher and a brother, J.H. Michael.

Surviving are her daughter, Monette Frye (Marc) of Lexington; son, Doug Hinson (Joan) of Ocracoke, NC; grandsons, Chad Frye (Catherine) and Charlie Frye (Lydia) all of Holly Springs and 2 great-grandchildren, Hudson Byrd and William Frye.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers that cared for our mom over the last several years that allowed her the ability to stay at home.
