Mrs. Troy Burkhart Kines

Mrs. Troy Burkhart Kines, age 98 of Snider Kines Road, Linwood passed away Tuesday morning (February 24, 2015) at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Friday (February 27, 2015) in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Kelly Barefoot officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until 4:00 pm prior to the service. Troy was born in Davidson County, May 20, 1916 to Samuel Cleveland and Manora Tysinger Burkhart. She was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ and the Pearl Peeler Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Cleveland Kines; her sisters, Vergie Hedrick, Bertie Young, Zeola Yarbrough and Etrulia Duffey; brother, Belvin Burkehart; son-in-law, Ralph “Sonny” Conrad. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Conrad of Lexington; sons, Larry Kines of Linwood and Beauford Kines and wife Teresa of Lexington; grandchildren, Cecil Conrad wife Daragh; Michael Conrad and wife Kristi, Christopher Kines and wife Dee of Archdale, John Kines and wife Jodi of Belmont; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Ainslee Conrad, Greyson, Graham and Parker Kines, step-great-grandchildren, Cheynne and Taylor Lapasser and Bryanne Ervin; Shae Villanueva husband Marco. The family wishes to thank the staff of Alston Brook and Hospice of Davidson County for all their care given to their mother.
