Myra Harp

Myra Harris Harp, 84 of Sequoia Drive, died Monday, February 16, 2026 at her home.

A private memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, where she was a member.

Mrs. Harp was born February 1, 1942 in Mecklenburg County to William Lee Harris and Clariece Carpenter Harris. She grew up in Concord, NC.  She was a graduate of Greensboro College. She became a school teacher following her graduation until the birth of her first child.

Her husband, Charles H. Harp, II, preceded her in death in February of 2019.

She is survived by her sons, William Russell Harp (Mary Reynolds Harp) of Davidson, NC and Patrick Ivan Harp of Concord, NC; and her grandchildren, Sarah Harris Harp, and fiancé, Connor Davidson, Henry Russell Harp and Mary LeShanna Harp.

She was a dynamic and creative person who lived a life with a multitude of different experiences and pursuits. She privately followed the narrow path in life which provided inspiration for those close to her.  She loved her family and friends deeply and that love was exponentially reciprocal.  She will be dearly missed.
