Myriam Leighton Goff

Myriam Leighton Goff, age 71 of Old Salisbury Road, Linwood passed away Saturday afternoon (6-13-2009) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (6-17-2009) at the Rolling Heights Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Sechrest officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park   Myriam was born March 10, 1938 in Horry County, SC to Azzie Mack Goff and Fannie Ward Goff. He was a member of Rolling Heights Faith Baptist Church.  He was a Retired employee of Swing Transport and a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Linda Wrenn Goff and second wife Barbara Yarbrough Goff in 2001, one sister Pauline Jones and two brothers, Morris and Marshall Goff.   Surviving are: wife, Alberta Gillespie Goff of the home; one daughter, Julie Kimmins and husband Rick of China Grove; four grand daughters, Molly, Rachel, Anna and Laura Kimmins; three step-grandsons, Jacob, Nathaniel and Dylan Hobbs; three sisters, Magdelene Roberts of Wilmington, Margie Newcomb of Burgaw and Jane Dew of Hope Mills.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and at other times at the home.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
