Myrtle Louise Cross

Myrtle Louise Cross, age 80, of NC Highway 8 Lexington passed away Thursday afternoon (August 11, 2011) at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday (August 14, 2011) at Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Miller and Rev. Steve Hedgecock officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall following the service and at other times at the home of her niece Barbara Childress, 3082 Floyd Church Road, Lexington. Myrtle was born in Davidson County June 11, 1931 to Mamie Cross. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church where she was Secretary for 50 years and had 40 years of perfect attendance. She worked for Thornton Hosiery for 32 years and also worked at Council Craftsman for 5 years. Myrtle is survived by her sister, Mary Tysinger of Lexington; very special niece Barbara Childress of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
