Myrtle Young Payne

Myrtle Payne, 88, of Deaton Young Rd., Lexington Passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Lexington.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday October 9, 2020 at the Payne Family Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Beck officiating.

Mrs. Payne was born March 23, 1932 in Durham County to Charles Calvin Young and Effie Ferrell Young. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her parents, her husband; Lorenza Payne who died December 17, 2015, a great-grandchild, Riley Burgess and a brother, Clyde Thomas Young.

Surviving are her two sons, Calvin Payne (Teresa), David Payne (Delphine) both of Lexington; two daughers, Edith Kepley of Lexington, Essie Burgess (David) of Marston, NC; 10 grandchildren; 13 great -grandchildren.
