N. Frank Yarbrough, 89, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a friend forever to all that met him, died Sunday April 6, 2008 in Wake Forest University Medical Center after 6 years of declining health.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday April 9, 2008 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Akers and Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Yarbrough was born in Davidson County on February 12, 1919 to Noah Aaron Yarbrough and Mary Elizabeth Shoaf Yarbrough. He was owner and operator of Frank’s Used Cars, Donut-Dinette, Pure Gas Station, Spur Gas Station and a partner of Flowers Used Cars. He also enjoyed farming in his earlier years and after retirement. He was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Elmo Yarbrough, Mock Yarbrough and Wade Yarbrough and sister, Blanche Coppley.
Surviving are his wife, Willie Mae Felker Yarbrough of the home; son, Charles Flynn and wife Debbie of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters Carole Thomas of Winston Salem and Charlene Flowers and husband Donald of Lexington. Six grandchildren, Sherry Jensen and husband Chuck; Sarah Flynn; Allison Flynn; Drew Flynn; Susan Mash and husband Paul; and Amy Harris and husband Chris. Five great grandchildren, Taylor Jensen; Trevor Jensen; Nicholas Jensen; Abby Harris and Jordan Mash.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington and at other times at the home on Thomason Street.
