Nadine Wilson Newsome

Nadine Wilson Newsome, age 83, of Stepp Grubb Road, Linwood passed away Saturday February 18, 2012 at Alston Brook. Her service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday February 21, 2012 at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. There will be no public visitation. Nadine was born in Davidson county September 28, 1928 to Ira O. Wilson and Pearl Feezor Wilson. She was a member of Churchland Baptist Church; graduate of Churchland High School; and retired Secretary-Treasurer of Linwood Glove Company. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Baxter Coy Wilson, Holland E. Wilson and Dick Wilson. Nadine is survived by her husband Dallas G. Newsome of the home; son, Newt Newsome and fiancee’ Lisa Blankenship of Linwood; three grandchildren, Glynis Prevette and husband Brandon of Tyro, Cheryl Newsome of Southmont and Melissa McCarthy of Cornelius; two great-grandchildren, Ashton Cope and Caleb Cope; two sisters, Dot Davis of Churchland and Margaret Davis of Liberty. The family would like to thank the staff of Alston Brook for all the love and care given to Nadine, especially Lillian’s Way.
