Nancie Pendley McMillan, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, November 2, 2016. She was a long time resident of Lexington, NC and enjoyed her time as a choir member at First United Methodist Church as well as serving the community as a member of the Charity League. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 5, at First United Methodist Church, Lexington, NC with Revs. Jamie Armstrong and Doug Rowe officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden, High Point, NC. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p. m. at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington Nancie was born in Atlanta, GA to Alma Jordan Pendley and Virgil Thurn Pendley. In 1964 she graduated from Grimsley High School and later received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from UNCG in 1968 and 1971. She then taught elementary school before serving as the long time office manager at Acme Face Veneer Company. Nancie is preceded in death by her parents, Alma Jordan Pendley and Virgil Thurn Pendley. Nancie is survived by her loving husband, Lewis E. McMillan; a daughter, Holly McMillan Krueger and her husband, Cary Krueger Jr., of Raleigh; a son, French Andrew McMillan and his wife, Tiffany McMillan, of Birmingham, AL; and 6 grandchildren Ava, Trey, Jackson, Lola, Jule, and Jordan. She leaves behind a brother, Robert A. Pendley and his wife, Marybeth Pendley, of Huntsville, AL. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty M. Gregory and her husband, Mike Frick; as well as nieces and nephews.
